Joe Burrow on burglary: ‘I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one’

Joe Burrow’s home was broken into Monday night while he was in Dallas for a game. On Wednesday, he addressed the situation with reporters.

Everyone heard what happenedBurrow said. “I feel that my privacy has been violated in several ways. And there’s already a lot more than I’d like and I like to share, so that’s all I have to say about it.”

He said a little more about the realities of his profession.

“We live a public life, and one of my least favorite parts is the lack of privacy,” Burrow said. “And that’s been hard for me to deal with my whole career. We are still learning, but I understand that it is the life we choose. It doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.”

The simple reality is that 911 calls and police reports are public records. For most people, nobody cares. For high profile people, many care.

Burrow gets it. He’s not asked to like it, but it’s part of the gig.
