Federal prosecutors say Tal, Oren and Alon Alexander used their status, wealth and influence to lure “dozens” of women to isolated locations where they were repeatedly drugged, raped and exploited over more than a decade .

The brothers were arrested Wednesday and each face sex trafficking charges, according to Miami-Dade State’s Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle.

Fernandez Rundle detailed the seriousness of the allegations during a press conference Wednesday.

“Rape is having power or control over another person,” she said. “These men used their fame, money and power to create opportunities to commit sex crimes.”

The Alexanders, along with their cousin Ohad Fisherman, who is still at large, are accused of being serial sexual predators. Federal investigators say the group committed violent acts against dozens of victims, leveraging their wealth and access to luxury accommodations to carry out their crimes.

A grand jury in the Southern District of New York issued a superseding indictment of the Alexander brothers, alleging they orchestrated sexual assaults.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said the brothers also procured drugs such as cocaine, mushrooms and GHB, which were provided to victims in connection with the attacks.

The brothers, once well-known figures in Manhattan’s luxury real estate market, each face charges of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking involving a victim by force, fraud or coercion, according to an indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan . Tal Alexander also faces an additional charge of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.

The arrest of the Alexander brothers stems from a joint investigation by the Miami Beach Police Department and the Miami-Dade State’s Attorney’s Office, with assistance from the FBI’s Miami office, Miami-Dade State’s Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle confirmed in a press release.

December 31, 2016: Allegation of gang rape

According to Fernandez Rundle, a victim thought he was attending a barbecue at a home near the 5800 block of Collins Avenue on Dec. 31, 2016, after an invitation from Alon Alexander, whom he previously met in New York.

Upon arrival, she said the victim realized no one else had been invited. According to Fernandez Rundle, Alon Alexander led her to a bedroom where two women were present. Soon, two other men entered and locked the door.

Fernandez Rundle explained the attack on the victim stating, “The victim was held down by Fisherman, who pinned his arms behind his back. Alon and Oren Alexander argued over who would rape her first. The victim cried, begging them not to do this.” Oren Alexander reportedly attacked her first, followed by Alon as Oren stood in the corner, authorities confirmed.

Authorities said Fisherman allegedly held the victim down while the brothers raped her. When she refused to have sex with Fisherman, they instructed her to shower, allegedly to remove evidence, and allowed her to leave in an Uber on the condition that she not make any phone calls, according to investigators.

“Oren told him, ‘Don’t tell anybody,'” Fernandez Rundle said. Despite her fear, the victim confessed to her sisters and a friend, but did not initially report the assault to the police.

October 20, 2017: Second sexual assault charge

Detectives said the second incident involved only Oren Alexander.

Fernandez Rundle said the victim and Fisherman had mutual friends and traveled in the same social circles. After a real estate event on October 20, 2017, he invited her to his residence, offering her wine and asking her to try virtual reality glasses.

“As Oren began to remove his clothes, she told him to stop. She felt her strength waning and woke up on the bed with Oren on top of her,” Fernandez Rundle said. She also confirmed that the victim, unable to move or resist, was raped and later disclosed the assault to her sister.

October 26, 2021: Third charge of assault

Fernandez Rundle said the third victim met Oren Alexander at a dinner on October 26, 2021. After the meal, she said Oren Alexander invited her and others to his boat and later to his home . Fernandez Rundle described the victim’s discomfort after Oren confiscated her cellphone, saying, “This is a very famous house, no pictures.”

When most of the guests left, investigators said the victim stayed with her boyfriend and Oren. After pouring her something to drink, the victim realized her friend was missing. Oren Alenxander offered to help with the search but led her upstairs, the report said.

“He got aggressive, ripping off her top,” Fernandez Rundle said.

The victim briefly escaped, but detectives said when she asked Oren Alexander to unlock the doors so she could leave, he raped her, holding her down while she protested. Finally, she ran, found her friend and convinced him to unlock the doors.

Federal agents also supported the investigation in conjunction with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, Rundle said.

Oren and Tal Alexander are the co-founders Officiala luxury real estate firm specializing in luxury properties in New York City, the Hamptons, Miami and Los Angeles.

Oren and Alon have been embroiled in civil lawsuits in New York for several months regarding sexual assault allegations.

A man who lives in the area, speaking to Local 10 News on the condition of anonymity for his safety, said he noticed several women arriving at Alexander’s multimillion-dollar property Monday night.

“Car after car” of women, dressed in elegant and fancy outfits, were “delivered” to the location, he said. The man added that the women claimed they were there for a Zumba class, which he found odd given both their attire and the late night time.

Alon and Oren Alexander, who were seen booked into Miami-Dade’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center by a Local 10 news crew, also face state charges related to a 2016 incident in Miami Beach.

Midday report:

Authorities also told Local 10 News that Tal Alexander is being held at the Federal Detention Center in Miami.

Neighbors near Alon Alexander’s million-dollar Miami Beach home have described unusual activity in the area.

“There were a lot of women, arriving in different cars, dressed very nicely, like high-class women,” said one man.

Authorities praised the courage of three women who came forward to expose the alleged crimes.

“We all want to thank the brave women who bravely stepped forward and came forward,” Rundle said, adding that investigators hope other victims will now feel safe enough to share their experiences.

Jail records show Oren Alexander faces three counts of sexual assault. One charge involves multiple perpetrators, classified as a second-degree felony. The other involves sexual assault without causing serious bodily harm. His total bail was set at $150,000.

His twin brother, Alon Alexander, also faces a charge of second-degree sexual assault by multiple attackers. His relationship was listed as “to be determined.”

Fisherman also faces a charge of sexual assault by multiple assailants.

Fernandez Rundle highlighted the pervasive problem of sexual assault during a detailed presentation, citing specific incidents and broader societal implications.

“Every X seconds, an American is sexually assaulted,” Fernandez Rundle said. She praised the collaboration with the FBI’s Miami field office, noting their role in assisting with arrest and search warrants. “Thank you to the prosecutor who works on sexual battery cases and the commander of the human trafficking task force,” she added.

Fernandez Rundle also emphasized the social shock when wealthy individuals commit such crimes.

“Men are shocked when men with money – who have everything – do something like this. Rape is having power or control over another person,” she said. “They use their fame, money and power to commit these crimes.”
