The Gurugram police in Haryana made three additional arrests in connection with a crude bomb blast that took place outside two nightclubs in District 29, an official said Friday.

All three suspects were arraigned and sent to police custody for six days.

According to the press agency PTIthe three accused were arrested by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by ACP (Crime) Varun Dahiya, which was formed by Gurugram Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora in response to the attack.

The three men, who were arrested recently, have been identified as 30-year-old Ankit and 27-year-old Vinit Malik and 28-year-old Vikas. While Ankit and Vinit are both from Meerut and Muzaffarnagar, Vikas is a resident of Sonipat in Haryana.

The newly arrested suspects were with the main accused on the night of the explosion

The first accused in the case, Sachin Taliyan, 27 years oldwho is already in custody for seven days revealed during interrogation that two of the newly arrested men were with Sachin at the time of the incident.

Sachin was caught trying to throw a bomb early Tuesday outside the Human Pub Club and the Toy Box Club.

The SIT also plans to interrogate two people arrested in connection with the blasts outside Chandigarh nightclubs in connection with the case.

What happened on the night of the Gurugram club blast

On Thursday, gangster Rohit Godara, an associate of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the Gurugram nightclub blasts.

In a Facebook post, Godara said the blasts in Chandigarh and Gurugram were just a “trailer” and tagged various people including Lawrence Bishnoi group, Gomi Mann group, Kala Rana, Virendra Charan and Randeep.

On Tuesday, one of the two bombs went off and Sachin was about to throw a third bomb when he was caught by the police.

Haryana CM on Gurugram night club blast

In the case of the nightclub blast, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said there was no room for criminals in the state.

Police have already arrested one accused from the spot and none of those responsible for the attack will be spared, the Chief Minister said.

Speaking to mediapersons here after presiding over a meeting of the district public relations and grievance committee, Saini also said that if anyone plays with law and order, he will either land in a hospital or be housed behind bars.
