Officers claimed to have kicked the window of the vehicle in an effort to wake Snowden, but to no avail as the defensive side repeatedly fell asleep.

After about 10 minutes, Snowden finally became agitated, woke up, turned off the engine and exited the vehicle, the documents state.

Snowden is said to have smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. He was then arrested and eventually charged with misdemeanor DUI.

‘Mr. Snowden will enter a plea of not guilty and we will respond in court, which is the appropriate forum,” said his lawyers, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, in a statement via CBS.

Earlier this week, the Raiders organization said it was aware of the arrest but “will not comment further as this is a legal matter.”

Snowden is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment hearing on Tuesday – a day after the Raiders are set to play the Atlanta Falcons. His status for the Monday Night Football game is currently unknown.

Out of Virginia, Snowden, 26, is in his first full NFL season. Although he went undrafted, the Maryland native carved out a role for the Raiders after serving on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad in 2022.
